Matt grew up in Minnesota and recorded his first album with the band Conic Section when he was in high school. He's played solo shows in Japan and has lead several Minnesota bands. In Los Angeles Matt recorded an album as part of the duo Blue Sky Divide. They played numerous LA area venues including Room 5, The Knitting Factory and opening for the legendary Australian band The Church at The Coachhouse in San Juan Capistrano.
Matt spent several years writing and recording his first solo album, "Walk in the
Sun", and had a capacity crowd for his album launch event at the famous LA venue
The Mint. The album was recorded at several studios across LA including Ballroom
Studios where The Killers, Fleetwood Mac and many others have recorded and mixed.
